For a San Diego-based weather analytics company, the future lies with understanding the past.

EarthRisk Technologies recently released the next generation of TempRisk, the company’s flagship platform used for assessing the risk of both hot and cold weather patterns up to 40 days in advance.

TempRisk is a web-based platform that looks at 60 years of weather data to formulate the odds of cold snaps and heat waves and uses patent-pending algorithms to run 1.3 billion calculations a day, incorporating 200 specifically quantified weather patterns, 10,000 days and multiple global regions.
